Blended Books began out of the vision of a young grandmother who wanted to increase the representation of children of color in picture books.

 It is our hope that multiracial children will see themselves in our books and embrace the wonderful blend of who they are, but our books are for children of all races. We believe that it is important to expose children to others who don't look like they look, even in books. Our desire is that these young, developing minds would be taught to celebrate diversity.
